METASEARCH ENGINES

Metasearch engines do not have searchable databases that "crawl" when a user enters a search request. Instead, they search the databases of multiple sets of other search engines from a single site. Metasearchers provide a quick and easy way to find out which engines are retrieving the best results for your search.

Use metasearchers when you do not have a lot of time to peruse results from other search tools. Because the results that are returned by metasearchers are drawn from the top of search engine lists, the results tend to be more relevant.
