The goal of Web Site Design is to teach WIT participants to create a web site with easy-to-use navigation elements and a consistent overall site structure.

How do you begin to design a Web site? This module will describe some methods to help you get started.

  • A logical organizational foundation is essential for good web site design
  • Create outlines
  • divide your information into logical units and sub units
  • write a table of contents, which can become a logical navigational tool for your web site

The content of your web pages should be accurate, useful, and easy to understand. There are four basic structures for web sites:
